FAQ

What are the rimondo rankings?

The rimondo rankings are the only rankings in which all competition riders in Germany and Switzerland are represented. In addition to the rankings for the various levels, there are separate rankings for young horses and ponies.

How do the rankings work?

Points are collected every time one competes. The number of points depends on the level of the competition, the placing achieved and the number of competitors. The points collected are then added up and result in an individual ranking. Only national tests of the respective level are taken into account. In the rankings for young horses, only horses of the respective age group are considered. The pony ranking includes competitions at all levels. However, ponies also take part in the level-specific rankings.

How does the ranking system work?

The rimondo rankings are based on our newly developed scoring system: the rimondo Performance Score. This allows us to consider not only the level of the test and your performance, but also the number of competitors, thus creating the fairest rankings ever.

You can find more information about the rimondo Performance Score here.

What are the ranking categories?

The rimondo rankings are published for both dressage and show jumping at A to S level. In addition, there are individual rankings for 3- to 7-year-old young horses in dressage and for 5- to 7-year-old young horses in show jumping. For ponies, there is a cross-level ranking in which ponies only compete against each other.

For Swiss competition riders, there are also rankings at A to S level in dressage and show jumping.

Who takes part in the ranking?

No registration is required to take part in the rimondo rankings. Any rider who has competed in a national dressage or show jumping competition at A to S level in Germany or Switzerland is automatically taking part in the ranking.

Which periods does the ranking include?

The rimondo rankings are the only live rankings for equestrian sport in Germany and Switzerland and are updated hourly. All tournament results that you achieve in national dressage or show jumping competitions in the period from 1 April to 30 September 2024 are considered almost immediately in the rankings.
