Burggraaf, an outstanding Holsteiner stallion from the 1983 cohort, has made a name for himself both in breeding and through his impressive progeny. With over 900 offspring, he is a pillar of modern horse breeding. Particularly noteworthy are his licensed sons like Mermus R, who himself became an influential sire with over 140 offspring, and Peppermill, who shone internationally with a third place at the European Championship.

Burggraaf has also left his mark in mare breeding. The state premium mare Grafin is just one example of the quality of his female progeny. Burggraaf shows a particular aptitude for show jumping breeding, which is highlighted by the successes of his offspring in international show jumping.

Preferred pairings with damsires like Voltaire and Nimmerdor have produced numerous sportingly successful offspring. His sire, the legendary Landgraf I, and the damsire Cor de la Bryère underscore Burggraaf's excellent lineage.
