Connor DK is an extremely likeable stallion who convinces in all respects. His laid-back interior is uniquely combined with his work ethic, making him a pleasure to work with. He masters every new task with great bravura and composure, which resulted in him running in front of the carriage for the first time a short time later after his licensing in 2023. With a short break, which is very good for a Connemara to develop, we approached horseback riding. Here, too, he showed a side that you don't often see. Getting on and riding off hit it right here. After riding for the second time, he went straight into the field. Connor knows how to convince not only with his nature, but also with his quite good basic gaits. The movements, which are equipped with a lot of momentum, leave nothing to be desired. He is quite conceivable in dressage, but also his overview and ability on the jump should not be put in the background, as you can also read in the following text of the father. This is where a double-minded stallion grows up who knows what he can do. "Connemaras can do it all" Carraig was successfully presented in Clifden in 2003, and again the following year by Joe Mac Lochlainn. Carraig had passed the 90-day test in Ireland in the winter of 2003 and scored 179 out of a possible 200 points, i.e. almost 9.0. In the spring of 2019, shortly after the first Brexit, which was averted once again, Carraig came to Germany. A stallion bred in the classic Connemara pony type, whose pedigree combines the best Irish bloodlines.Through his sire Cloonisle Cashel, he is a half-brother to the Clifden Supreme Champion Glencarrig Prince. His pedigree can be traced back three times to Carna Bobby, who has certainly had a significant influence on him in terms of interior and exterior. His foundation strength is unrivalled in Germany in relation to his height and he inherits his movement sequence with a very active hind leg, elastic basic gaits with good uphill movement, which are so interesting for dressage, coupled with jumping ability and willingness to perform. The records from the performance test were lost in Ireland and the Connemara Pony Breeders' Society had destroyed their records a year before the sale to Germany without scanning. Through his Irish daughters, he was able to provide proof of performance for Stallion Book I in Germany. Carraig's breeding activities in Germany remain within a very modest framework. His progeny lifetime winnings currently amount to 350€. His son Ekely's Kingsman became Champion Foal at the Connemara Pony Show in Bremen 2022. From his first crop in Germany, he presents our Connor DK.
