1.70m prized Verdi TN’s 5-year-old scopey powerball! Verdi TN has just said his farewell to the sport and is to focus on his breeding career. But this already 5-years-old son of his is getting ready to take on his shoes. Not many horses reach CSI5* 1.70m level, but Team Scuderia SA believes that Querde has the potential to jump the highest classes. This grandiose stallion has been selected unbroken, at age 2,5 years by the Team’s professionals as part of the Europe-wide Tour in search of prospect high-level Grand Prix horses. Querde is the perfect combination of power and gentleness. He is leaving the ground with great force; he is dynamic between jumps but he also reacts fast and listens to his rider. He looks and jumps very similar to his sire, Maikel van der Vleuten’s Olympian, has a great presence, but he is also easy to ride and handle at home and at competition. His legendary sire, the great son of Quidam de Revel, who is himself father to more than one 1.70m level jumpers, has too many successes to tell. Verdi took gold at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Caen, the 2015 European Championships of Rotterdam, the 2014 FEI World Cup Final of Barcelona, nonetheless they also won silver at the London Olympics of 2012. Verdi is also an unbelievable sire. He has close to 90 offspring who reached 1.55-1.60m level and many more to come! Beside Querde’s skills, looks and one-of-a-kind sire, he was selected by the professional Team based on his damline too. From his damline three horses have reached 1.60m level: Cool-Man, Cambridge and Sarah Segal’s Holiday; three of them are 1.50m level jumpers: Martina Wrede’s Lightning, Quitana and Cassina; and more additional horses have reached 1.45m level.
