Hannelore Weygand, with Perkunos, won the silver medal in the team dressage at the 1956 Stockholm Equestrian Olympics. It was the first time that a German dressage team was an all-women trio. The team consisted of Weygand, Liselott Linsenhoff and Anneliese Küppers. Individually Weygand came ninth. Coached on the private property owned by the well-known millionaire and publisher Axel Springer, and his third wife Rosemarie. In 1953 and 1955 Weygand won the CHIO in Rotterdam. She later became a horse breeder. Perkunos by Lustig, who was a son of the legendary Tempelhüter. Perkunos was one of the few 2 year old colts that survived the trek. In 1948, he was sold to Hannelore Weygand. In 1956, she rode him at the Olympic Games in Stockholm, where she placed 9th individually and won the team silver medal. The team further consisted of Lieselott Linsenhoff with Adular (by Oxyd, Trakehner) and Anneliese Schaurte-Küppers with Afrika (also by Oxyd). An impressive demonstration of the role Trakehner horses had in the National teams of Germany right after the war.
