Sandro’s Heir (Sandro Hit x Castro x Inschallah) is a 2002 Licensed Oldenburg stallion. Standing 16.3hh he is bright mahogany bay with a small white star. Sandro’s Heir was imported in the winter of 2007. In Germany, the stallion completed his stallion testing and had initially competed in show jumping, but upon arrival to Canada under the guidance of Reitlehrer Annaliese Farber, Sandro’s Heir has quickly proved that his future as a rising dressage star is destined. An impressive debut at Advanced Level in 2010 and undefeated 2009 competition season are a testament to the stallion’s blossoming talent. In 2011 the goal was reached that we had always dreamed of! Sandro's Heir fully qualified and is in the group of the top 10 Advanced Dressage Horses in Canada and proceeded to the trials for a major games, with a chance to represent Canada at the Pan-Am Games in the fall of 2011! As one of the youngest horses in the head-to-head trials and the only breeding stallion we are simply over the moon with pride. The keen young stallion made his Advanced Level debut in 2010 under rider Annaliese Farber with impressive results. He qualified for a Long-Listed placement on the 2011 Canadian Dressage Team at his very first Advanced Level CDI! Sandro's Heir placed in every Advanced class entered at Blainville QC, CDI and Saugerties NY, CDI holding his own against seasoned competition. At Cornerstone's Summer Dressage Festival he exceeded the impressive 70%+ benchmark in the Prix St.George, Intermediare I and the Intermediare I Freestyle, winning the Freestyle Class with a 72.5% and finishing Reserve Champion of the Advanced Division. He concluded his first Advanced season this fall with a top ten finish at the prestegiuos Dressage at Devon CDI. In December of 2010 he made his debut in Advanced Competition in Wellington FL at the Holiday Challenge, placing 3rd in the I1 with an 68.28%. He won a packed Prix St. George at Welcome back to White Fences in Loxahatchee FL in March with over 70% and had a super 68+% at the Palm Beach Dressage Derby CDI. He continued to develop over the summer of 2011, racking up the 5 required scores for entry into the Pan-Am head-to-head trials. In 2009 he competed at Fourth Level consecutively winning five Championship titles. He concluded his 2009 phenomenal show season by claiming three more First Places in Fourth Level classes at NEDA’s Fall Festival in Saugerties NY and in one single test he received three “9’s” during his canter tour! In 2008, Sandro’s Heir dominated FEI Young Horse classes with scores of 8+ in the six-year-old division. For his rider Annaliese Farber, “this year there is a mental and physical maturity that has developed. He is really concentrating in the ring with more pride and power in his way going.” After people have seen him under saddle lighting-up a dressage ring, Sandro’s Heir often takes people by surprise with his soft and kind personality. He possesses the duality of a happy, gentle disposition, yet enough rideable spark and fire, that he can go out and achieve a “9” on a canter extension. In fact, he is exactly what a modern dressage sire should be; elastic, elegant and impressive in movement, balanced by a kindness, sensitivity and workman like approach to training. As a young foal in Germany Sandro's Heir was identified as a Premium foal and identified as a Stallion Prospect by the Oldenburg Verband (2002 Fohlenprämie Hengstanwärter) and was selected to compete in the prestegious German Foal Championships, making it into the Finals (2002 Finale Deutsches Fohlen-Championate). He is a testament to his lineage. Bred by the late Ferdinand Utesch, he is son of the young but legendary Bundeschampion and Dressage World Champion, Sandro Hit. This top sire has a phenomenal breeding record that has already founded a new dressage-breeding dynasty with numerous incredibly successful offspring. Sandro Hit is a phenomenal jet black stallion whose first rate offspring easily sell for prices in excess of EUR 100,000 year after year. Sandro Hit's progeny and their offspring all pass on his excellent genes and this jet black stallion has influenced dressage horse breeding probably more than any other stallion in the world over recent years. View video of Sandro Hit here. However, it is Sandro Heir's phenomenal dam line that sets him apart from other Sandro Hit sons. Sandro’s Heir’s dam St.Pr.El. Ruby Girl (Castro x St.Pr.El. Rubina (Inshallah)) owned and bred by Ferdinand Utesch, produced 3 licensed sons (Sandro's Heir, Rustin and Sastro), an Elite/State Premium daughter (Rubica), two State Premium daughters (Ruby-Gold and Soraya), 6 AOS/ Elite Auction foals and in total, twelve Premium foals, in twelve years of breeding! She was sired by the stunning Holsteiner stallion Castro an exceptional sire of competition horses and winner of his Stallion Approvals. St.Pr.El. Ruby-Girl hails from the impressive dam line of St.Pr.El Rubina (Inschallah x Bucephalos). St.Pr.El Rubina was Champion of the Bundeschampionate in 1990 and was crowned the 1a Champion, best 4 year old Mare of Germany the same year! Rubina is reffered to as "a brilliant mother-line," "a German Mare Show Diva," "a breeding pearl" and "a true Goddess in Oldenburg" by the Oldenburg Verband and European breeders sites. In addition to St.Pr.El Ruby-Girl she also produced 3 Licensed stallions (Dasingo G, Rosenoble and Rubino), Elite auction stars, 5 Elite mares (Rubica, Revue, Ruby-Girl, Revanche and Rosebel) and multipule States Premium Mares (St.Pr.Rudonja is dam to Licensed Stallion Blue Hors Schufro Hit and top Auction seller Donatus Rex)! Elite Ruby-Girl is taken from the source line of Rudigunde (Rudilore/Rulli) of 1918, from which legions of Elite and State Premium mares are formed. Recent examples of this very fruitful and powerful Rudina tribe are Oldenburg Star Dressage Stallions D-Day, Blue Hors Romanov and Rubin Royal. Elite Ruby-Girl's full Sister Elite Rubica produced a top selling foal at the 2007 Elite Auction, Ruhm und Ehre sold to dressage great Sissy Max-Theurer for 30.000E. Taking into consideration the heavy impact that mare lines make upon generations, Sandro’s Heir offers proven breeding substance. His pedigree is flanked by world class stallions and St.Pr.El. Mares, denoting the quality of his breeding. Having been previously been primarily focused upon his sport development in 2010 Sandro's Heir's first foal arrived on the ground and was greatly celebrated. Sandro's Melody (Sandro's Heir x Capitol II x Wenzel II) was awarded Premium Status by the German Oldenburg Verband, declared a Foal of Distinction and her movement was praised as "excellent" by the Inspection Panel. With more mares confirmed in for for 2011 were are VERY excited about his ability to pass along his loving temperment and impressive sport ability.
